People had fun playing games, such as throwing arrows and jumping rope.
The highlight of the day was a talent show, in which the contestants showed off their cultural performances and sang songs.
[Interview : Rosie Peralta, Immigrant from Philippines] "I'd really like to thank all Koreans. Even though we're foreigners, they really love us and love our culture too. We're happy to show them our culture and to learn Korean culture too."
And the people made wishes for the new year, mostly concerning the well-being of their loved ones.
[Interview : Park Chan-hee, Child of multicultural family] "My wish for the new year is for my dad to make lots of money."
[Interview : Carina Estacio, Immigrant from Philippines] "My wish for my son is good health. And don't get sick. That's it. And to my husband, I love you."
The families wrote down their wishes on colorful papers and hung them on strings.
